The Challenge

Having worked with Bristol Airport on a whole series of campaigns to date, we were asked to put forward our ideas for a heart-felt Christmas campaign, to be used across the brand’s social channels.

We’ve worked with VISUALAB Media on several projects now and we can honestly say that their innovative, forward-thinking ideas and meticulous approach to every piece of content they have created is very refreshing.

Our Approach

That’s when the idea of Lumi the Bear was born - an idea that would see all of the Children that had just returned on a flight from Lapland, being greeted at baggage collection with Bristol Airport branded teddy bears covering the baggage carousel.

The Detail

We filmed this magical moment as it played out, capturing the genuine joy and surprise on each of the children’s faces which then formed the basis of the ‘Lumi the Bear’ Christmas video.

As well as coming up with the concept, we also storyboarded how we envisioned the campaign playing out, and edited the final video to really emphasise the genuine emotion and magic behind the campaign.

The Results

Highlighting the huge investments undertaken by the airport to deliver a great experience for all passengers, and their commitment to continually improve their offering, the video subtly showcases everything the airport has to offer, that many were previously unaware of. The video gained a great response across social media and also serves as a great advertising tool on the airport’s website.
