The Challenge

Bristol Airport, South East England’s gateway to the world and North Somerset’s largest employer, wanted us to reach into the heart of its workforce and show what remarkable people they employ and nurture – all as part of a big recruitment drive.

We were tasked with producing a series of videos that would demonstrate how professional and approachable their staff are at tackling different tasks on a daily basis.

Our Approach

The purpose of these videos was to create a catalogue of interviews across randomly selected departments to show the varying roles available at Bristol Airport. We also wanted to give an insight into the diversity of each role and to show that as a business, they employ down to earth, adaptable, dedicated and positive staff - a solid message to anyone thinking of joining the team.

The Detail

 To achieve this message we filmed on the job, to capture a true reflection of ‘a day in the life of a Bristol Airport employee’, from firefighters to security staff. We focused heavily on important aspects of recruitment, including career progression within an ever-changing landscape, but we also wanted to capture the happy and positive environment that their existing employees are proud to be part of.

After shooting each interviews, we stylised the videos to make them stand out as a series and hold their own identity. The chosen soundtrack also helps to depict the passion these exceptional employees have for their jobs.

 
 

The Results

The series was published across the brand’s social media channels as well as on their website, to help in attracting new, like-minded individuals to browse their current vacancies and to apply for any newly available positions. The reaction particularly across social media was very impressive, with so many commemorating their own personal experiences and the fact that a business has gone above and beyond to celebrate the real people behind the brand.
