The Challenge

Point72’s objective was to transform their London reception area into an immersive, dynamic communications hub. Their goal was to seamlessly integrate branded digital content that would not only elevate the visitor experience but also convey real-time, relevant information in a way that aligned with Point72’s modern, data-driven identity.

Our team, alongside Onemedia, was tasked with designing a sophisticated LED canvas that could deliver a constantly evolving narrative — balancing live data, elegant motion design, and clear functional messaging, all within the architectural constraints of the reception space.

We wanted to break away from the perception that corporate reception signage is static or purely functional. Our vision was a live, breathing digital canvas that felt both useful and premium — something that communicates, engages and inspires, all while being effortlessly on-brand.

Our Approach

We developed a content-rich digital strategy for their LED, structured around a zoning system — carefully dividing the display into specific areas for world clocks, real-time data widgets, branded animations, and custom messaging. This gave us a scalable framework that balanced clarity and flexibility.

Visually, we chose a bold aesthetic to reflect Point72’s dynamic, forward-thinking ethos. Using animated elements like morphing spheres and anamorphic backgrounds, we created a vibrant digital backdrop that seamlessly interacted with overlaid widgets displaying news, travel updates, weather, and market data.

A custom-designed “moving glass” effect added subtle distortion and depth, creating a polished visual layer that nodded to Point72’s precision and modernity, while elegant, time-of-day triggers ensures content and colour palettes continue to evolve smoothly throughout the day.

The morphing spheres and anamorphic backdrops bring the screen to life — but they’re not just decoration. They reflect Point72’s identity of precision, unity, and global reach, while subtly guiding the eye around key information.

The Detail

The LED display was divided into functional zones:
Widget Zone: Delivering real-time data like news headlines, London Underground statuses, and national rail departures, all in a branded interface.
Logo Zone & World Clocks: Providing global context with custom-styled time and date widgets.
Messaging Zone: Allowing the Point72 team to display tailored welcome messages for guests and staff.

Supporting these zones were animated background layers that shifted through different modes — morning, afternoon, evening — triggered automatically based on time and location.

Dynamic 3D wave animations and morphing logo animations were added to the content loop, subtly reinforcing brand identity throughout the day.

All design components — from widgets to animations — were custom-styled using Point72’s typography, colour palette, and style to ensure full brand alignment.

The challenge here wasn’t just aesthetic — it was technical too. We had to create a system flexible enough to adapt in real time, but simple enough for the Point72 team to manage day to day.

The Results

The final installation at Point72’s London reception delivers a sophisticated, high-impact feature that immediately captures attention. The LED canvas not only enhances the arrival experience for visitors but also functions as an intelligent communications platform, seamlessly balancing branded storytelling with timely, useful information.

Beyond aesthetics, the system empowers the Point72 team to easily manage and tailor messaging — creating a versatile tool that adapts to business needs, guest welcomes, and events alike.

The result is a reception space that feels alive, purposeful, and unmistakably Point72.
