A fresh new look & website for Bedfordshire’s award-winning florist

We recently had the pleasure of working with multi-award winning Bedfordshire florist, Julie Cambridge, who was in desperate need of a rebrand and a modernised online home for her rapidly expanding floral design business.

Having completely fallen out of love with her existing branding and website - both of which were incredibly outdated and didn’t represent the amazing work that Julie is known for, particularly in the wedding industry, we got to work on revamping the entire look and feel of the business.

Colour Palette

One of our favourite parts of any branding project - choosing the right colour palette! For this particular project, we opted for warm, earthy tones to tie in with Julie’s signature floral design look. You’ll notice these colours are consistent in all of Julie’s arrangements - and so it was only right that we used these colours as a visual representation of the Julie Cambridge brand.

Typography

Julie wanted something simple, timeless and classical - but also something easy to read. We played with various types before mutually agreeing on a more simplistic yet elegant font that doesn’t take away from the beautiful work that Julie is known for.

Brand Pattern

We designed an elegant brand pattern for Julie to use as a wrapping paper for her arrangements, featuring a mix of her logo variations, brand stamp and her signature hand-drawn flower.

Website Design

Once the branding was finalised, we got to work on recreating a completely new and visually stunning online home. We opted for Squarespace, a massively popular platform for growing businesses, being extremely user-friendly but also hugely flexible in terms of its design features. We designed the website to be very image-heavy, showcasing Julie’s award-winning work in bridal flower design. Julie now has a completely new look to her business that she’s proud of, and a new fully-branded website that’s fit-for-purpose and is helping to streamline new booking requests.
